Designation: Pharmacy In-charge
Reporting to: Unit Head
KEY RESULT AREAS: 1. To run the pharmacy in an efficient, systematic and patient - friendly manner. 2. Provide all the necessary drugs, and consumables required by the physicians for Patients of nephrology, urology and other allied services. 3. Provide services in compliance with state laws, drug controller rules and regulations, and the hospitals protocols of management. 4. Plan business strategy, and achieve goals related to profitability and cost control.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor in pharmacy with a good academic background. 2. Must be registered with the Karnataka Pharmacy Council. 3. Minimum 5 years of a pharmacy experience at a senior level, with inventory management experience and pharmaceutical business understanding.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 1. Must have knowledge of the Indian Pharmacopoeia and similar literature. 2. Must have proficiency in using computers, especially MS Office, Email etc., and Pharmacy software. 3. Must have good knowledge of patient needs, service objectives, and managerial skills.
RESPONSIBILITY: 1. Empower employees according to their ability. Ensure that the employees perform their duties with high degree of quality of professionalism. 2. Maintain complete documentation of all pharmacy functions, including inward and Outward, inventory control, drug procurement etc. 3. Initiate, formulate, and finalize policies and protocols regarding pharmacy function, drug preparation, distribution and drug dispensing including billing. 4. Creating Purchase Order [PO] and place order on daily basis. 5. Identify and provide for additional required pharmacy services, required for the growth of the department. 6. Develop, implement and streamline pharmacy safety polices with regard to patient care. 7. Maintaining stock of the pharmacy. 8. Conducting induction classes for the pharmacy staff.

- Conducting pre and post tests for the pharmacy staff after delivery training. 10. Maintain complete documentation of the pharmacy CQIs. 11. To review the pharmacy protocols and policies as per the required date. 12. Prepare the statement of narcotic drugs sales and purchase on monthly basis and send it to the Excise department. 13. Check the removal and returning of expiry medicines to the vendor on particular days. 14. Removal of non returnable expiry medicines list and discard the same. Reduce the stock from the system. 15. To maintain monthly sales target. 16. Discuss with all the consultants about the Pharmacy module on the Impulse HMIS and find Out any difficulty in the same and clarify the same. 17. Arrangement of alternative brands in case of short supply of the existing brand. 18. Checking the indents to OT and all other departments. 19. Act on the feedback received on the patient feedback system Treat well.
SUPERVISE: 1. Supervise dispensing of drugs according to protocol. 2. The storing and accounting of medicines. 3. Supervise patient relationship and service. 4. Ensures employees have up-to-date information reviews and receive feedback that is fair, accurate and helps them to do their jobs better. 5. Flow of narcotic medicines to OT. 6. The stock check of the drugs in pharmacy. 7. Supervise inward and outward of Materials.
PARTICIPATE: 1. Participate in drug information and other educational activities within the hospital. 2. Participate in medical and pharmacy audit and staff review meetings of the hospital. 3. Ensure team work and a healthy work environment within the department 4. Participate in hospital managerial level meetings, implement policies & procedures
