Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow SAM / HAMis responsible fortheend-to-end implementation, configuration, and ongoing ownershipofServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro)andHardware Asset Management (HAM / HAM Pro). This role requiresproven implementation experience, not just operational support, and plays a critical role in driving license optimization, audit readiness, and asset lifecycle governance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and executefull lifecycle implementationsofServiceNow SAM Proand HAM /HAM Pro, including design, build, testing, deployment, andpostgolivestabilization.
  • Implement and configuresoftware license models, entitlements, normalization, reconciliation, and compliance reporting.
  • Implementhardware asset lifecycle workflows, including procurement, onboarding, stockrooms, contracts, warranties,refresh, and disposal.
  • Integrate SAM/HAM withCMDB, ITSM, Discovery, and procurement systemsto ensureaccurateand trusted data.
  • Configure automation forlicense reclamation, renewals, audits, and exception handling.
  • Build dashboards and KPIs to trackcost savings, compliance posture, and asset lifecycle health.
  • Partner with system integrators during implementation and assumefull ownership postgolive.
  • SupportServiceNow platform upgradesbyvalidatingSAM/HAM compatibility and performing regression testing.
  • ProvideL3 supportand continuous optimization for implemented SAM/HAM solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of ServiceNow engineering experience.
  • Demonstratedendtoendimplementation experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and/or HAM (Core / HAM Pro).
  • Experience delivering at least onefull SAM and/or HAM implementationfrom design through production rollout.
  • Strong ServiceNow development skills (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer).
  • Experience working in enterprise, governed ServiceNow environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CAD, SAM, HAM.
  • Experience with CMDB, CSDM, and Discovery implementations.
  • Experience working with Finance, Procurement, and Audit stakeholders.
