Responsibilities
Lead SAP PP/QM workstreams on complex S/4HANA transformation programs, focusing on manufacturing and quality processes. Own endtoend solution design and delivery for Production Planning and Quality Management, manage project teams, and advise operations, manufacturing, and quality leaders on process optimization and digital manufacturing.
- Lead the SAP PP/QM stream across the full project lifecycle (discovery, design, build, test, deploy, hypercare).
- Own functional design and configuration for key ..PP.. areas:
- Master data (material master, BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions)
- Maketostock, maketoorder, engineertoorder scenarios
- Discrete, process, and repetitive manufacturing (as relevant)
- MRP / planning strategies, capacity planning, and detailed scheduling
- Production order/process order management, confirmations, and backflush.
- Own functional design and configuration for key ..QM.. areas:
- Inspection planning (inspection plans, characteristics, sampling procedures)
- Inprocess, goods receipt, and final inspections
- Quality notifications (defects, complaints, internal issues)
- Quality certificates, results recording, usage decisions
- Integration with vendor quality, customer quality, and nonconformance management.
- Define and validate global PP/QM templates and localization for multiple plants/countries.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, configuration, and functional specs for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
- Ensure robust integration with:
- Other SAP modules (MM, SD, PM, EWM, PPDS, APO/IBP, CO, PS)
- MES/Shopfloor systems, LIMS, PLM, and thirdparty quality systems.
- Manage PP/QM workstream plans: scope, timeline, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Lead teams of PwC consultants, client SMEs, and thirdparty resources across multiple plants and geographies.
- Conduct workshops, fitgap analysis, solution walkthroughs, and design signoffs with manufacturing and quality stakeholders.
Mandatory skill sets:
Typically ..8-12+ years.. of SAP experience, with strong focus on ..SAP PP and QM...
- Multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations (at least one as PP/QM lead), ideally including ..S/4HANA...
- Deep experience in:
- Production planning and execution (discrete/process/repetitive as relevant).
- PP/QM configuration: master data, planning strategies, orders, inspection types, inspection plans, notifications.
- Integration with MES, shopfloor systems, and quality/PLM/LIMS solutions.
- Experience in one or more manufacturing industries: pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, industrial, FMCG, electronics, etc.
- Strong consulting background with direct client-facing responsibilities and crossfunctional team leadership.
