Job Description

The Senior Officer/Assistant Manager for Production Planning and Control is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive production plans that optimize manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This role requires strong coordination across multiple departments and the implementation of digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Control: Develop and communicate detailed production plans to the manufacturing team, establish leveling schedules, monitor plan adherence, and report on production fulfillment metrics and deviations to management.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with procurement planners to ensure timely material availability and coordinate with manufacturing teams to deliver products that meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead and implement digital initiatives and process improvements to enhance operational accuracy, reduce errors, and drive continuous improvement across production planning functions.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all commercial and operational processes adhere to internal guidelines, including Bosch India central directives, as well as external regulatory requirements including foreign trade, customs, and taxation laws.
  • Inventory management: Maintain optimum inventory levels across all production materials and finished goods, ensuring efficient stock utilization and minimizing carrying costs while meeting production requirements and customer coverage.


Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial production)

2 - 4 years work experience in a production planning role.


Additional Information

Knowledge:

. Competent Production planning knowledge

. Competent Knowledge of Inventory (WIP)

. Competent Knowledge of lean manufacturing like BPS or TPS

Functional skills:

. ERP skills like SAP with expertise in Material Management and Production Planning modules

. Effective communication skills (English and local language

. Good knowledge of Excel and power BI required
. Basic knowledge of RPA and automation desired

. Levelling tools like ProCon and knowledge on line balancing
