Job Description: In-process Quality Control - Mechanical ( Min 5 Years Exp)
Key Responsibility and Accountability
- Perform inspections at defined stages of UAV manufacturing (machining, composite lay-up, electrical harness assembly, structural integration, avionics installation, etc.).
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and fit-up against engineering drawings and Standard work instructions.
- Inspect bonding, fastening, riveting, soldering, and adhesive applications in composites and metallic structures.
- Record inspection results in inspection checklists and quality control documentation.
- Maintain proper traceability of materials, parts, and processes as per aerospace/defense standards.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming products, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and coordinate with production for corrective actions.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Check calibration status of gauges and tools before use.
- Verify proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling for electronic components.
- Monitor critical processes such as composite curing, torque application, and electrical continuity.
- Report deviations immediately to supervisors and recommend process adjustments when necessary
- Work closely with production engineers, design, and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support internal and external audits as required.
