Role Description

The In-House Technical Sales Representative is a full-time, office-based role responsible for attending to customer inquiries through WhatsApp, email, and phone calls. The role involves technical sales and marketing of electrical products, understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable products, preparing quotations, and converting inquiries into confirmed sales orders. The position requires strong technical understanding, effective communication, and a customer-focused sales approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and respond to customer inquiries via WhatsApp, email, and telephone
  • Understand the technical requirements of customers related to electrical products and applications
  • Recommend suitable electrical products and technical solutions based on customer needs
  • Carry out technical sales and marketing of electrical and industrial products
  • Prepare and share quotations, datasheets, and pricing details
  • Follow up with customers to close sales and secure orders
  • Coordinate with accounts, store, and dispatch teams for order execution
  • Maintain records of inquiries, quotations, and confirmed orders
  • Build long-term relationships with contractors, panel builders, OEMs, and industrial customers
  • Provide basic technical support and after-sales coordination
  • Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets

Skills & Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of electrical products, switchgear, instruments, panels, or industrial components
  • Ability to explain technical specifications and applications to customers
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp Business, email, and phone systems
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP, CRM software preferred)
  • Experience in technical sales or electrical product marketing is an advantage
