Role Overview

We're looking for a camera-facing, in-house content creator and social media associate who is comfortable being on screen and creating short-form, social-first content. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of content creation, social media execution, community, and culture. You'll help bring SleepyCat's voice to life by both appearing in content and actively managing and executing social media across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.

This is not an influencer role - but you should be confident, natural, and expressive on camera.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation (Camera-Facing)

• Be a regular on-camera presence for SleepyCat's social content
• Create short-form videos: reels, shorts, trend-led content, skits, POVs, product explainers, and quick formats
• Assist with basic scripting, hooks, voiceovers, and captions
• Shoot quick, reactive content aligned with trends and cultural moments

Social Media Management (Core Responsibility)

• Execute the day-to-day running of SleepyCat's social media handles
• Publish content as per the social media calendar across platforms
• Actively manage comments, DMs, and community interactions
• Track trends, formats, and creator patterns relevant to the brand
• Share weekly insights on what's working (formats, hooks, engagement)
• Support influencer and UGC coordination when required (references, briefs, reposts)

Culture & Brand Voice

• Maintain SleepyCat's brand tone: warm, witty, intelligent, and relatable
• Ensure content feels native to platforms - not overproduced or ad-like
• Help evolve the brand's social personality through experimentation and learnings

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable and confident facing the camera
• Strong understanding of Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and short-form formats
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Strong sense of internet culture, trends, and memes
• Ability to balance creative expression with consistency and execution
• Willingness to learn, experiment, and iterate fast
