Job Summary:
Responsible for optimizing manufacturing (Assembly and testing) processes, ensuring efficient production flow, maintaining high product quality, and reducing operational costs. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to achieve production targets and support the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Value Stream Supervision:
    • Shift planning of the associates to ensure daily production goals
    • Ensure SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) targets are achieved for assigned areas of responsibility
    • Monitor adherence to shop floor work standards for all operations within area of responsibility
    • Workforce Management
  • Process Optimization & Improvement:
    • Analyze existing production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, quality, and safety.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen,..) to eliminate waste and streamline operations in value stream.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cycle time, rejection rate etc.
    • Develop and update work instructions.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
    • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations promptly.
    • Work with maintenance and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Quality Assurance & Control:
    • Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure products meet specified quality standards.
    • Implement and adhere in-process quality checks and controls.
    • Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement solutions to reduce defects.
    • Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plan development.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure all production activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
    • Promote a culture of safety and identify potential hazards within the production area.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize material flow and reduce lead times.
    • Train production associates on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
    • Co-ordinate with cross functional departments to ensure Value Steam KPIs are met

Qualifications

Essential Educational Qualification: B.E Mechanical

No. of year of experience required. 4-8 Years


Additional Information

  • Should be flexible to work in shifts
  • Understanding of hydraulic circuits
  • Knowledge on PFMEA, Control plan and problem solving tools
  • Familiar with SAP / ERP
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Working knowledge of Assembly Processes
  • Knowledge 5S standards, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and TPM
