Job Summary:
Responsible for optimizing manufacturing (Assembly and testing) processes, ensuring efficient production flow, maintaining high product quality, and reducing operational costs. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to achieve production targets and support the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Value Stream Supervision:
- Shift planning of the associates to ensure daily production goals
- Ensure SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) targets are achieved for assigned areas of responsibility
- Monitor adherence to shop floor work standards for all operations within area of responsibility
- Workforce Management
- Process Optimization & Improvement:
- Analyze existing production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, quality, and safety.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen,..) to eliminate waste and streamline operations in value stream.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cycle time, rejection rate etc.
- Develop and update work instructions.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
- Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations promptly.
- Work with maintenance and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Quality Assurance & Control:
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure products meet specified quality standards.
- Implement and adhere in-process quality checks and controls.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement solutions to reduce defects.
- Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plan development.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all production activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and identify potential hazards within the production area.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize material flow and reduce lead times.
- Train production associates on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Co-ordinate with cross functional departments to ensure Value Steam KPIs are met
