Job Description & Summary:
A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You'll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on various indirect tax topics to provide accurate advice and updates.
- Prepare and draft replies to notices received from tax authorities with precision and clarity.
- Liaise and coordinate with tax authorities to address queries and compliance requirements.
- Support accounting and bookkeeping functions with a strong command over related processes.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Service Tax, and other relevant indirect taxes, keeping updated with latest regulatory changes.
- Collaborate effectively with different verticals across the organization to facilitate seamless communication and tax-related processes.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Mandatory Skillsets
- Proven experience in handling indirect tax matters, particularly GST and service tax.
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical working knowledge of GST and service tax laws.
- Good command over accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Excellent research skills on tax topics.
- Experience dealing with tax authorities, including preparing responses to tax notices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence.
- Ability to work well within a team and build connections with multiple departments. Preferred Skillsets
