Job Description

Job Title: IMS L1 Operations Engineer

Location: Indore, India

Experience: 3–4 Years

Shift: 24/7 Rotational

About The Role

We are looking for a motivated IMS L1 Operations Engineer to support day-to-day operations of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) services. The role involves real-time monitoring, incident handling, and ensuring high availability of telecom services in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform 24/7 monitoring and L1 support for IMS network and services.
  • Handle incident management, own bridge calls, and drive incidents until full restoration.
  • Manage and resolve tickets within SLA, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot IMS-related issues and perform initial root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Work closely with L2/L3, vendors, and engineering teams for escalations and resolutions.
  • Execute change implementation activities as per defined processes.
  • Perform health checks, log analysis, and system monitoring to ensure service stability.
  • Validate configurations and perform post-change testing and verification.
  • Generate operational reports and track KPIs and SLA metrics.
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

Technical Skills Required

  • Basic understanding of IMS architecture and telecom networks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, UDP protocols.
  • Exposure to cloud concepts and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes / containerized environments is an advantage.
  • Experience in monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and NOC operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to analyze logs and network issues.
  • Basic scripting/automation knowledge (good to have).

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience in NOC / Telecom Operations / IMS Support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / IT / Telecommunications or equivalent.
  • Experience in ticket handling and monitoring is mandatory.
  • IMS node exposure (e.g., CSCF, HSS, SBC) will be an added advantage.
