Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Import Logistics Manager to manage and optimize our end-to-end import logistics, supply chain coordination, and warehouse operations. This role is central to ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of lighting products from international vendors to project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Import Process Management: Manage the complete import cycle, including documentation, clearances, and compliance.
- Transportation Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and internal teams for timely deliveries.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking across warehouses and project sites.
- Warehouse Management: Oversee storage, handling, and dispatch of imported materials.
- Logistics Planning: Align logistics planning with project timelines and business requirements.
- Cost Management: Control logistics and freight costs through effective planning and negotiation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure materials are handled and stored as per quality and safety standards.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and coordinate with freight forwarders, CHAs, and other logistics partners.
- Team Leadership: Lead and guide logistics team members for smooth day-to-day operations.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively resolve delays, damages, shortages, and operational challenges.
Skills & Experience Required- 37 years of experience in import logistics or supply chain management within a product-based organization.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain principles, and import/export regulations.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end import procedures.
- Proven ability to negotiate with freight forwarders and coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent multitasking ability with strong attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation skills to manage transporters and vendors.
