Job Description

About the role

Techtinium has built an AI-powered advanced planning and scheduling (APS) platform for manufacturers. It helps production planners build better schedules faster, replacing spreadsheets, legacy scheduling tools such as SAP PP/DS, Siemens Opcenter and PlanetTogether, and the manual workarounds planners build around them. The platform is used in aerospace, defense and industrial manufacturing.

We are looking for someone who understands how a factory actually plans and runs production, and who has taken manufacturing systems live before. You will lead customer rollouts of our platform and support pre-sales with prospective customers.

This is not an ERP configuration role. You will not be implementing or maintaining SAP or any other ERP. You will be replacing the scheduling layer with something better, and your knowledge of how manufacturers plan today is what makes that possible.

What you will do

Implementation and rollout

  • Lead customer implementations end to end: discovery, solution design, data onboarding, configuration, pilot, go-live and adoption.
  • Run discovery workshops with planners, production heads and IT teams to understand the customer's current planning and scheduling process, constraints and pain points.
  • Map the customer's production data (BOMs, routings, work centers, capacities, calendars, orders, inventory) to the platform, working with our engineering team on integration with their ERP/MES.
  • Validate schedules with the customer's planners and make sure the output reflects shop-floor reality.
  • Train users and act as the customer's main point of contact through go-live and stabilization.

Pre-sales, demos and workshops

  • Run product demos and solution workshops for prospective customers.
  • Lead proof-of-value engagements, from data collection through pilot scheduling results.
  • Help prospects see concretely where the platform improves on their current scheduling approach.

Product feedback

  • Bring what you learn at customer sites back to the product and engineering teams, and help prioritize what gets built.

What we are looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing systems or operations: MRP, MES, APS or production planning.
  • Experience overseeing at least one MRP, MES or planning system rollouts, from requirements through go-live.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: discrete, job-shop or make-to-order environments.
  • Deep conceptual grounding in materials management and production planning: MRP logic, BOMs and routings, capacity planning, lead times, inventory, and finite scheduling / job sequencing.
  • Comfort working with production master data and with customer IT teams on how it moves between systems.
  • Strong communication skills: able to run a workshop with planners on the shop floor and present to senior management.
  • Based in Chennai, with the ability to work some overlapping hours with US-based team members.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to any ERP or scheduling system (SAP PP/ PPDS, Oracle, Infor, Siemens Opcenter, PlanetTogether or similar). The specific system matters less than understanding the concepts behind it.
  • Prior in-house experience as a production planner, PPC or materials lead at a manufacturing company.
  • Consulting or systems integration background.
  • Pre-sales or solution consulting experience.
  • Aerospace, defense or industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Startup or small-team experience: comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.

Why this role

  • Work on a modern, AI-driven product instead of maintaining a legacy system.
  • High-visibility role where your work directly shapes customer wins and the product itself.
  • Real manufacturing customers, real production scheduling problems.
  • Small team, fast decisions, no bureaucracy.
