What is the opportunity:

As an Immigration Program Manager, you will be responsible for owning and operating Omnissa's immigration program at an exciting inflection point. The foundations are in place, and this role is an opportunity to bring greater structure, consistency, and a stronger employee experience. The core of this work is US-based employment immigration, spanning nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence, and compliance, with some support for global cases as needed. Here is a breakdown:

US immigration case management (primary focus)

  • Own end-to-end management of US employment-based immigration cases including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM, and employment-based green card processes
  • Track all case milestones, filing deadlines, visa expirations, and I-94 dates and proactively communicate status updates to employees and stakeholders
  • Partner with external immigration counsel to prepare and file petitions accurately and on time, reviewing documents for completeness before submission
  • Advise hiring managers and recruiters on visa options, sponsorship eligibility, timelines, and cost considerations during the hiring process
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements that allow the program to scale

Employee experience and support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and candidates navigating US immigration processes, providing clear, timely, and empathetic guidance throughout
  • Proactively communicate upcoming deadlines, document requirements, and next steps so employees always know where they stand
  • Build and maintain employee-facing resources, FAQs, and communications that make immigration processes more transparent and less stressful
  • Support employees through life events that intersect with immigration status such as promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and role changes

Vendor and external counsel management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison with US immigration law firms, ensuring responsiveness, quality, and accountability
  • Review and manage invoices, track immigration spend, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and support any RFP or vendor selection processes as needed

Policy and compliance

  • Maintain I-9 and E-Verify compliance, including managing re-verification, conducting internal audits, and keeping recordkeeping standards current
  • Ensure the company remains compliant with all USCIS, DOL, and DOS requirements and maintain up-to-date public access files for H-1B employees
  • Monitor regulatory developments in US immigration law and assess their impact on Omnissa's program and workforce
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to support immigration cost tracking, audits, and compliance reporting

Global immigration support (secondary)

  • Coordinate international immigration cases in partnership with regional HR teams and local counsel in markets such as EMEA and APAC
  • Serve as an internal point of contact for global mobility questions, triaging to appropriate counsel or partners as needed

What will you bring to Omnissa

  • 5 or more years of experience managing US corporate immigration programs, either in-house or at an immigration law firm or global mobility provider
  • Deep working knowledge of US employment-based nonimmigrant visa categories and the permanent residence process including PERM and I-140
  • Solid understanding of I-9, E-Verify, and public access file requirements with hands-on compliance experience
  • Experience managing external immigration counsel including day-to-day coordination, document review, and billing oversight
  • Ability to communicate complex immigration topics clearly and with sensitivity to employees at all levels, including executives
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where not every process is fully defined, with the initiative to build structure and improve what exists
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and competing deadlines with accuracy
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee information
  • Proficiency with immigration case management software
  • Experience working in a technology company or high-growth environment
  • Exposure to global immigration coordination across APAC and EMEA
  • Ability to produce immigration program reporting and metrics for People leadership
