Company Description
At IIG South, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Diamond Faculty to train and mentor aspiring jewellery professionals in diamond grading, identification, and valuation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training sessions in:
- Diamond Grading (4Cs – Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat)
- Diamond Identification & Sorting
- Natural vs Lab-Grown Diamond Detection
- Diamond Certification Standards (GIA, IGI, HRD, etc.)
- Diamond Pricing & Valuation
- Conduct hands-on lab sessions using microscopes, loupes, master stones, proportion scopes, and grading tools.
- Train students on international grading standards and industry practices.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments.
- Mentor students with academic guidance and career support.
- Stay updated with current trends in natural, synthetic, and lab-grown diamonds.
- Support corporate training programs for jewellery retail teams and industry professionals.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and institutional events when required.
Required Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Diamond Grading, Gemology, or related field from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or industry experience in diamonds and jewellery.
- Strong practical knowledge of diamond grading and identification techniques.
- Knowledge of lab-grown diamonds, treatments, and simulants will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools and presentations.
Required Qualification
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Strong classroom management and practical demonstration skills.
- Industry exposure in retail, manufacturing, or diamond trading.
- Ability to conduct both student and corporate training sessions.
