We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
- Perform regression, functional, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software usability.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication within the team.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Tosca, Selenium, QTP, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
