The Image Deployment Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining imaging solutions using SCCM, Intune, and Tanium for efficient OS, application, and update deployment. This role involves standardizing imaging configurations, managing task sequences, and ensuring smooth patch management and application packaging processes. The engineer will collaborate with IT and security teams to optimize deployment strategies, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system integrity. Additionally, they will document processes, stay updated with industry trends, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and security.
Roles & Responsibilities: Image Deployment Engineer (SCCM/Intune/Tanium)
1. Imaging & Deployment Management
- Design, implement, and maintain imaging solutions using SCCM, Intune, and Tanium.
- Develop standardized imaging configurations and deployment processes for consistency.
- Configure and manage task sequences, packages, and software updates for automated deployment.
2. Patch Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute patch management for operating systems, applications, and software components.
- Identify, prioritize, and deploy security patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain patch deployment schedules with minimal business disruption.
3. Application Packaging & Deployment
- Package and customize applications using tools like SCCM, Tanium, MSI, MDT, and App-V.
- Test application packages for compatibility, functionality, and performance before deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patching, packaging, and software deployment.
4. Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor imaging infrastructure performance and optimize deployment efficiency.
- Troubleshoot imaging, patching, and application deployment issues.
- Implement solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
5. Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure imaging and deployment solutions follow security best practices.
- Maintain system integrity by implementing security patches and updates.
6. Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for imaging processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Manage version control, change management, and configuration documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in imaging, patch management, and application packaging.
