Illustrator

Role Overview

As an Illustrator, you'll be responsible for bringing BLUORNG's ideas to life through your own visual language. The role goes beyond creating artwork; it's about translating concepts, ideas, and references into illustrations that feel original and expressive.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop original illustrations and artwork across digital, print, campaigns, products, and social media.
• Translate creative concepts, briefs, and references into strong visual ideas.
• Create sketches, concepts, storyboards, and final illustrations as required.
• Experiment with different illustration styles, techniques, textures, and mediums.
• Create artwork for apparel, graphics, campaigns, packaging, digital content, and other brand requirements.
• Adapt illustrations across different formats, sizes, and applications while maintaining their visual impact.
• Build and maintain a strong library of original artwork and visual assets.
• Research fashion, art, music, culture, and contemporary visual trends to bring fresh references and ideas to the work.
• Use AI tools and emerging creative technologies as part of the creative process where relevant.
• Refine artwork based on creative feedback while maintaining a strong point of view.
• Ensure all final artwork is technically accurate and prepared correctly for its intended use.
• Continuously experiment with new techniques and push the visual language of the brand forward.

What We're Looking For

• Strong illustration and drawing skills with a distinct visual style and point of view.
• Strong command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Procreate is a plus.
• A strong understanding of composition, proportion, perspective, colour, form, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to take a brief or abstract idea and turn it into a compelling visual concept.
• Comfortable working across different illustration styles and creative formats.
• Strong understanding of digital artwork and basic knowledge of print-ready artwork, file formats, resolution, and colour modes.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating originality, technical ability, range, and a distinct point of view.
