Illustration Design Engineer (Creative Intern - Design & Product Assets)

Location: Remote / Hybrid | IIT Madras Campus, Chennai - 600036

Job Type: Internship (Task-Based, Unpaid)

Duration: 4-8 weeks (Extendable based on performance)

Reports To: Founders / Core Team

Product Focus: CADmint

Role Summary:

The Illustration Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing visual assets for CADmint, with a primary focus on component creation and product-related design work using Adobe Illustrator. The role also involves collaboration with the operations function for social media and branding requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and create vector-based assets for CADmint using Adobe Illustrator

- Develop component visuals, icons, and product interface elements

- Ensure consistency in design standards across the platform

- Design social media creatives for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms

- Create pitch deck visuals and presentation assets

- Assist in UI/UX concepts for product (CADmint)

- Develop branding assets (logos, banners, thumbnails, etc.)

- Collaborate with the operations team on social media and branding materials

- Contribute to pitch decks, presentations, and marketing assets when required

- Maintain organized design files and asset libraries

- Maintain consistency in brand language and aesthetics

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (MANDATORY)

- Strong understanding of vector design and layout principles

- Attention to detail and consistency in design output

- Ability to translate technical/product requirements into visual assets

- Strong sense of design, layout, and color theory

- Ability to translate abstract ideas into visuals

- Basic understanding of startup branding

Internship Structure:

- Mode: Remote / Hybrid

- Performance Evaluation: Quality of deliverables, timeliness, ownership, collaboration, contribution
