About the job

Reporting to the Shopkeeper, the Sales Associate delivers excellent sales service to ensure high customer satisfaction and maintains IKEA merchandising standards for a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess customer needs to provide tailored information and solutions that enhance their home furnishing choices
  • Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and proper display of items in the department according to IKEA merchandising standards
  • Actively promote top-selling and prioritized products by sharing detailed knowledge of features and benefits with customers and colleagues
  • Maximize sales and profitability by steering customers toward top-selling products and managing overstock or overtag items
  • Support the execution of planned commercial activities within the department to drive sales initiatives
  • Analyze and adjust sales space capacities using system parameters to ensure high stock availability and optimal product placement.

  • Demonstrate customer-service orientation and passion for driving business growth
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues using strong interpersonal skills
  • Maintain physical fitness to handle physical tasks such as assembling furniture and standing during retail hours
  • Show enthusiasm for home furnishing and life-at-home details
  • Commit to working rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
