Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled IIoT Solution Architect who can bridge the gap between technical solutions and business development. This role will be responsible for driving pre-sales, solution design, and customer engagement in Industrial IoT (IIoT) projects across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Pre-Sales:
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and qualify IIoT opportunities
- Engage with clients to understand business needs and propose suitable IIoT solutions
- Lead technical discussions, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Prepare RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution documents
- Support deal closure by addressing technical queries and objections
2. Solutions Architecture:
- Design end-to-end IIoT solutions including:
- Edge devices & sensors
- Connectivity (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, etc.)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Data analytics and visualization
- Define system architecture, data flow, and integration strategies
- Ensure scalability, security, and performance of solutions
- Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams
3. Client Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on digital transformation and IIoT adoption
- Conduct workshops, PoCs, and pilot implementations
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders including OEMs, system integrators, and internal teams
4. Delivery Support:
- Provide guidance to implementation teams during project execution
- Ensure solution alignment with proposed architecture
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT) architecture
- Experience with:
- IoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.)
- Industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, CAN, MQTT)
- Edge computing and gateway solutions
- Understanding of data analytics, AI/ML, and dashboards
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLC systems, and industrial automation
Sales & Business Skills:
- Proven experience in pre-sales / solution consulting
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills
- Experience in handling RFPs, proposals, and solution pitching
- Ability to align technology solutions with business value
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, IT, or related field)
- Certifications in AWS/Azure IoT or Cloud Architecture
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, energy, or smart industry domain
KPI:
- Conversion rate of opportunities to deals
- Quality of solution design and customer satisfaction
- Successful delivery of PoCs and pilot projects
- Revenue contribution from IIoT solutions
