Job Summary

We are looking for an Ignition Engineer with hands-on experience in Ignition 8.3 to develop and maintain SCADA and industrial automation applications. The role involves working with real-time data, dashboards, and system integrations. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable and high-performance solutions for industrial environments. They will also contribute to improving system efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SCADA applications using Ignition 8.3.
Build and configure Perspective and Vision dashboards for operational visibility.
Integrate PLCs, machines, and industrial devices using protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, and similar technologies.
Configure and manage Tags, Alarms, and Tag Historian.
Develop automation workflows and application logic using Python (Jython preferred).
Work with SQL databases for data storage, reporting, and analytics.
Integrate external enterprise systems such as ERP/MES through REST APIs.
Troubleshoot application, connectivity, and performance-related issues.
Support deployment, testing, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Collaborate with internal and customer teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Ignition 8.3 (Gateway, Perspective, Vision).
Solid understanding of SCADA systems and industrial automation concepts.
Experience integrating industrial devices using OPC UA, Modbus, or similar protocols.
Strong SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred).
Experience in Python scripting (Ignition Jython preferred).
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Must be currently residing and authorized to work in the United States.
