Role Description

This is a contract-based, remote role for an IGCSE English (AQA) Tutor. The tutor will provide personalized online tutoring sessions, guide students in mastering English grammar and curriculum content, and address individual learning challenges. Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and fostering an engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced tutor who has strong familiarity with IGCSE AQA English (English as First Language) syllabus, paper pattern, and assessment criteria.

The ideal candidate should:

• Have prior experience teaching IGCSE AQA English
• Be well-versed with Paper structure, mark schemes, and assessment objectives
• Guide students in:
• Reading comprehension & analysis
• Writer's methods & language analysis
• Directed writing
• Narrative & descriptive writing
• Support exam preparation with structured answer writing techniques
• Provide constructive feedback aligned with AQA mark schemes
