Overview
Join our IFS Cloud team as a IFS Cloud Developer, where you will play a critical role in the design, development, and strategic evolution of our IFS Cloud ERP ecosystem. In addition to hands-on development, this role provides technical oversight and leadership to a team of developers, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with long‑term digital transformation and AI‑enabled business objectives.
You will serve as a trusted technical partner to the ERP Manager, IFS Product Owner, Project Implementation teams, and business stakeholders, guiding solution design, enforcing standards, and mentoring developers across the ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions, with a strong focus on AI‑powered automation and process optimization.
- Design and develop customizations, extensions, reports, and configurations within IFS Cloud.
- Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and middleware platforms (Mulesoft preferred)
- Develop and configure BPAs, flows, custom pages, fields, menus, lobbies, events, and system configurations.
- Lead or support system upgrades, module rollouts, enhancements, and data migration initiatives.
IFS Cloud AI & Intelligent Automation Responsibilities
- Design and extend solutions leveraging IFS Cloud embedded intelligence
- Collaborate with functional teams to configure and optimize AI‑driven insights for production planning, inventory management, and asset performance.
- Support adoption of IFS.ai and predictive features, including forecasts, recommendations, and anomaly detection where applicable.
- Develop extensions and integrations that enable data-driven decision support using IFS Cloud APIs and event frameworks.
- Ensure AI-enabled features follow security, governance, and explainability best practices within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Quality, Security & Delivery
- Ensure ERP solutions meet security, compliance, performance, and quality standards.
- Oversee unit testing standards and support user acceptance testing activities.
- Review and approve technical documentation, solution designs, and development artifacts.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline development practices and platform capabilities.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including IT, business analysts, and operational leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business goals.
- Provide training, technical guidance, and best‑practice recommendations to internal teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive hands‑on experience developing within IFS Cloud using IFS‑provided development tools.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying custom applications, integrations, and workflows, including middleware platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML).
- Solid understanding of enterprise business processes such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, CRM, or parts management.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on development experience with IFS ERP solutions.
- IFS certification or module‑specific training.
- Experience leading or contributing to full‑cycle ERP implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
- Integration experience with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
- Reporting experience using IFS Business Analytics, SSRS, Crystal Reports, or Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with end‑to‑end SDLC processes and agile delivery models.
