Job Summary**
The IE/LSS Jr. Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. supports the implementation and continuous improvement of industrial engineering principles and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes and drive efficiency.
Job Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development and implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects, including process mapping, value stream analysis, and identification of waste.
- Conduct time studies, work sampling, and other industrial engineering analyses to establish standard work and improve productivity.
- Collect and analyze data to identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Support the design and optimization of manufacturing layouts, workstations, and material flow.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using various quality tools (e.g., Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams).
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials related to Lean Six Sigma principles and industrial engineering tools.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project findings, recommendations, and progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to achieve operational excellence.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma concepts and tools (e.g., DMAIC, statistical process control) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
- Basic understanding of data analysis software (e.g., Minitab) is an advantage.
- May require occasional travel.
