Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and implementation of SAP Customer Data Cloud (SAP CDC/Gigya) solutions, including customer identity and access management (CIAM), consent management, and preference management.
  • Oversee the technical execution of SAP CDC integrations with enterprise applications, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity.
  • Perform hands-on configuration, customization, and development of SAP CDC solutions to align with business needs and security requirements.
  • Establish and enforce technical best practices for identity management, authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and data privacy compliance, including adherence to regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, security teams, IT operations, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to enable successful deployment and adoption of SAP CDC solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to MSPs, ensuring deliverables align with technical roadmaps, design patterns, and CIAM solution frameworks.
  • Partner with SAP, third-party vendors, and MSPs to evaluate new capabilities, enhancements, and integration strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide development and support teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and scalability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain operational excellence.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in customer identity, access management, and data security to drive innovation and best practices.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to ZICC-based IDAM Enablement & Integration Lead, with dotted line to US-based Head of CIAM.
  • Engage in close interaction with the US-based IDAM/CIAM teams to ensure alignment with global strategies and initiatives.
  • Be part of the global Technology Risk Management organization, which reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
  • Collaborate regularly with ZTD Infrastructure teams, including Platform Services, IT Service Desk & Site Services, Global Network Services, and Digital Workplace Services teams.
  • Interact with external vendors or partners providing software, services, or APIs that require integration with IDAM systems, including establishing requirements, negotiating contracts, and facilitating technical integration.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining integrated solutions within Zoetis IT landscape.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
  • MS or advanced security/identity courses or other applicable certifications is desirable, including:
  • SAP Certified Development Associate SAP Customer Data Cloud
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • AWS/Azure Cloud Architect Certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Information Systems
  • 4+ years of detailed, hands-on experience with CIAM, including authentication and authorization management
  • 4+ years of experience in SAP CDC/Gigya architecture, design, and implementation
  • 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry, especially Animal Health
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones
  • Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale, global IT projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work within diverse technical teams
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing end-to-end solution delivery
  • Strong experience collaborating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), with a focus on ensuring quality and alignment

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

This is a detailed hands-on technical role. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the majority of the following areas:

Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM):

  • Strong knowledge of customer identity and access management (CIAM), authentication standards (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML), and security protocols
  • Hands-on experience with SAP CDC APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and event-based architectures
  • Expertise in configuration, customization, and development of SAP CDC solutions
  • Experience with data privacy, consent management, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Identity Solutions & Web Development:

  • Experience working with B2B and B2C identity solutions
  • Required experience with web development, including front-end and back-end technologies
  • Strong experience with authentication protocols, including OpenID Connect and SAML
  • Proficiency in integration using Webhooks, REST APIs, CRUD operations, and ETL processes
  • Expertise in web technologies, REST APIs, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Experience implementing social login integrations (e.g., Google, Facebook) and fraud detection mechanisms
  • Integration of CIAM with enterprise systems such as CRM, e-commerce platforms, and customer support portals

Cloud Platforms & Federation:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity federation strategies

Soft Skills & Communication:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical discussions and decisions
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
