Job Description

In this Risk Data & Reporting Associate role, you will contribute to the International Consumer Banking Risk Reporting and Data team by building analytical data layers, dashboards, and generating insightful analytics to support operational controls, and performance monitoring for Chase UK and Germany. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced, collaborative environments and can leverage strong analytical, business, and communication skills to drive impactful results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (risk leads, risk data owner, technology teams) to translate business needs into data requirements and analytical solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret new data, build transformation pipelines on AWS, and design, develop, and maintain data models using dbt and Trino, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Google Looker, presenting complex data visually to aid communication.
  • Adhere to governance processes for analytical solutions and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data and visualization.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience in Data Management, Analytics, Visualization and agile environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with analytical solution design, data pipelines, data modeling, and advanced SQL (window functions, joins, aggregations, performance tuning).
  • Proficiency with AWS tools (Redshift, SageMaker), GitHub, dbt, and writing data quality rules for accurate reporting.
  • Expertise in building scalable LookML models and advanced visualizations in Google Looker, with the ability to understand risk reporting needs and translate data into actionable insights using effective data visualization techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences in presentations and written communications.

Additional Skills, Experience and Qualifications

The following additional items will be considered as an added advantage for this role.

  • Knowledge of UK Retail Banking Products, Capital & Credit Forecasting, and impairment frameworks (CECL, IFRS 9, ECL models).
  • Experience with Python and data manipulation libraries, and understanding of descriptive statistics concepts.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
