Job Description

**Development Support**

- Assist in developing new features and functionality for FUSION

- Develop custom modifications for existing or new customers

- Perform IBM i5/OS Upgrades (Ex. V7R4 to V7R5)

- Maintain and enhance existing codebase as needed

- Debug and resolve software issues

** HelpDesk & Customer Support Assistance**

- Provide Level 2 technical assistance to our HelpDesk to resolve software issues

- Interact directly with customers as necessary, and access customer systems remotely to troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported problems

- Document solutions for future reference and update FUSION's Production environment

**Collaboration**

- Work closely with the existing development team

- Participate in monthly Status Meetings, technical discussions, and User's Group preparations

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical SI team members

**Quality Assurance**

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

- Perform testing to ensure software quality

- Follow established coding standards and best practices

Required Skill Set

**Technical**

- Extensive experience with IBM i (AS/400, iSeries, Power)

- Excellent RPG programming skills (all levels - RPG II, RPG III, RPG IV/ILE RPG)

- Proven ability to read, understand, and modify existing code / programs / logic

- Experience with customer conversions (data file conversions / forms (logos / layouts)

- Demonstrated experience with SQL and database management

- Strong JavaScript skills and Node.js experience

- REST APIs and web services

- Credit card payment gateway integrations

**Communication Skills**

- Excellent oral communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts clearly

- Excellent written communication skills - clear, professional documentation and correspondence

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

- Patient and empathetic approach when dealing with customers

- Professional phone and email etiquette

Preferred Skills -

**Experience with ERP Systems**

- Sales, Service, Inventory, Purchasing, Contracts, Recurring Billing, Projects, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), & General Ledger (G/L)

**Industry Knowledge**

- Experience in the Two-Way or Wireless Communications industry

- Knowledge of business processes in dealer/distribution environments

- Previous experience in customer-facing technical support roles

- ASNA Webpak development
