Job Description: IBM ODM Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain business rules solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with IBM ODM, business rule development, and decision automation, along with the ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using IBM ODM.
• Develop and manage decision services, rule applications, and decision tables based on business requirements.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into executable business rules.
• Configure and maintain rule projects using IBM ODM Rule Designer and Decision Center.
• Develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot business rules and decision services.
• Integrate IBM ODM with enterprise applications and backend systems through APIs and service interfaces.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning of rule applications.
• Support production deployments, resolve rule-related issues, and maintain existing decision services.
• Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, documentation, and release management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient decision automation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
• Knowledge of IBM ODM Rule Designer, Decision Center, and Decision Server.
• Experience developing business rules, decision tables, ruleflows, and decision services.
• Understanding of Java and enterprise application integration.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP web services, and application integration.
• Knowledge of testing, debugging, deployment, and troubleshooting of business rule applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with WebSphere Application Server or other Java application servers.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
• Experience working on enterprise decision management or business rule automation projects.
