Role 1: IBM Middleware Migration Engineer (ACE/IIB to Spring Boot)

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced IBM Middleware Migration Engineers to support a large-scale API modernization initiative. The role involves migrating APIs and integrations from IBM ACE and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) platforms to Java Spring Boot Microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing IBM ACE 12, IIB 8, and IIB 9 integrations.
• Migrate APIs, message flows, and business logic to Spring Boot Microservices.
• Convert ESQL-based transformations into Java-based implementations.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate with IBM MQ, databases, third-party systems, and messaging platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Prepare migration documentation and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IBM ACE/IIB experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• IBM ACE 12
• IBM IIB 8/9/10
• ESQL
• IBM MQ
• Java 8/11/17
• Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Kafka/Event-Driven Architecture.
• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
