IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect end-to-end integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / IBM App Connect Enterprise.
• Lead development of complex message flows, transformation logic, and connectivity between heterogeneous systems (SOAP/REST, JMS, MQ, databases, etc.).
• Collaborate with business analysts, application architects, and infrastructure teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
• Define integration standards, guidelines, and best practices for middleware development and deployment.
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of integration solutions across environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration developers and support teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to IBM Integration Bus.
• Evaluate and recommend new integration tools, technologies, and architectural improvements.
• Ensure integration solutions comply with security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Document architectural designs, technical specifications, and integration patterns.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in middleware development and architecture, with at least 4 years focused on IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / IBM App Connect Enterprise.
• Expertise in building and deploying integration flows, transformations, and adapters in IIB.
• Strong knowledge of messaging protocols and middleware technologies such as MQ Series, JMS, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON.
• Experience with API management platforms and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in Java, ESQL, and scripting languages used in integration solutions.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and SOA principles.
• Experience with deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud integration platforms (IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of security standards like OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS in integration contexts.
• IBM certification in IIB or related middleware technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to other integration tools like MuleSoft, TIBCO, or Apache Camel.
