IBM InfoSphere DataStage Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
• Extract data from multiple heterogeneous sources including relational databases, flat files, and APIs.
• Perform complex data transformations, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Optimize DataStage jobs and workflows for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes, resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and update existing DataStage jobs and documentation.
• Implement best practices for data integration, error handling, and logging.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support data migration, data warehouse upgrades, and integration projects as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
• Experience with job design, parameterization, and deployment in DataStage.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and scripting for automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
