IBM Guardium

Job Description -

Conduct installation of IBM Guardium on designated servers within the bank's infrastructure.

Configure monitoring agents for various databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) used by the bank.

Ensure integration with existing security infrastructure.

Develop and implement data protection policies tailored to the bank's specific compliance and security requirements.

Regularly review and update policies to adapt to regulatory changes and internal audits.

Conduct risk assessments to identify areas for policy enhancement.

Set up and maintain real-time monitoring of database activities.

Analyze alerts and notifications to ensure timely identification of suspicious activities.

Respond to security incidents and escalations as they arise

Generate customized reports on database activity, access patterns, and compliance metrics.

Conduct detailed analysis of reports to identify trends and potential vulnerabilities.

Present findings to stakeholders and recommend remediation actions.

Lead incident response efforts for security alerts related to database access and activities.

Perform root cause analysis on incidents and document findings.

Collaborate with the security team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.

Manage user roles and permissions within the Guardium solution to ensure appropriate access controls.

Conduct regular audits of user access and database permissions.

Provide training and support to bank personnel on access and monitoring protocols.

Integrate IBM Guardium with other security solutions (SIEM, Firewalls, XDR etc.) to enhance overall security posture.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with the bank's existing infrastructure.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all configurations, policies, and procedures.

Ensure adherence to compliance standards, such as PCI-DSS, Data Privacy and other relevant regulations. Prepare for audits and assist in compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize Guardium's efficiency.
