Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IBM Assembler (HLASM) Developer to design, develop, and maintain low-level programs, system utilities, and exit routines. The role involves debugging assembler code, analyzing system dumps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembler Development & Maintenance:

  • Develop and maintain low-level programs, system utilities, and exit routines using IBM Assembler (HLASM).
  • Write, debug, and optimize assembler code with a strong understanding of macros, syntax, and directives.

Troubleshooting & Analysis:

  • Analyze assembler listings, dumps, and logs to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Utilize IBM Debug Tool, Fault Analyzer, SDSF/IPCS for troubleshooting and system support.

Collaboration & Performance:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient system performance and stability.
  • Provide guidance and technical support for system-level enhancements and problem resolution.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of IBM Assembler (HLASM) instructions, macros, syntax, and directives.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging low-level programs and system utilities.
  • Proficiency in IBM Debug Tool, Fault Analyzer, SDSF/IPCS, and assembler listing/dump analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with technical teams.
