About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Mathematics curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a deep appreciation for the application of mathematics in real-world contexts.
The teacher will foster a learner-centered environment that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and academic excellence while preparing students for success in higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics across Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation at SL and HL levels).
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and inquiry-based lessons aligned with Cambridge and IB curriculum requirements.
- Develop and implement unit plans, lesson plans, and learning resources aligned with programme objectives.
- Prepare students effectively for IGCSE and IB external examinations.
- Guide students undertaking the Mathematics Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration).
- Ensure adherence to IB assessment regulations and academic integrity policies.
- Encourage participation in mathematics competitions, Olympiads, STEM initiatives, and enrichment programmes.
- Contribute to school events, exhibitions, academic workshops, and community programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE Mathematics and/or IB Diploma Programme
- Experience teaching IB Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) and/or Applications & Interpretation (AI) at SL and HL levels.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
