Job Title: IBDP History and Global Politics Teacher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) courses in History and Global Politics. The ideal candidate will inspire critical thinking, global awareness, and analytical skills in students, preparing them for IB assessments and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IBDP History and Global Politics courses in alignment with IB curriculum standards
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
- Prepare students for internal and external IB assessments (e.g., IA, Extended Essay support)
- Foster critical thinking, research, debate, and writing skills
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback
- Integrate global perspectives and contemporary issues into teaching
- Support students with university applications and subject-related guidance
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and IB training workshops
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Political Science, International Relations, or related field
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching IBDP History and/or Global Politics (preferred)
- Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage diverse learners and foster an inclusive classroom
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supervising Extended Essays or Internal Assessments
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches
- Strong organizational and research mentoring skills
- Participation in IB workshops or certification programs
