Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to teach
English across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), along with
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) in DP. The role requires a strong understanding of IB pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, and the ability to develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons for IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) English.
- Teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK), fostering critical thinking and interdisciplinary understanding.
- Develop students skills in literary analysis, writing, research, and oral communication.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and global perspectives in the classroom.
- Design unit plans aligned with IB frameworks, including ATL skills and learner profile attributes.
- Prepare students for internal and external IB assessments, including essays, presentations, and exams.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating, and student-centric learning environment.
- Promote independent thinking, discussion, and reflective learning.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
- Collaborate with coordinators and faculty for curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development programs.
- Contribute to co-curricular and enrichment activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in English or related field (B.Ed. preferred).
- 3–6 years of experience teaching IB MYP and DP English.
- Experience teaching TOK is highly preferred.
- IB training/certification is an advantage.
