IB Biology Faculty

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IB Biology lessons (both synchronous and asynchronous) aligned with the IB DP syllabus (11 &12 th Grade)
• Design and assign practice problems, labs, assessments, and revision materials to reinforce learning outcomes.
• Provide individualized feedback, track student progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Prepare students for internal assessments (IA) and external examinations, including effective data analysis and scientific writing.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to ensure curriculum coherence across science subjects.
• Participate in regular professional development workshops and contribute to curriculum enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and communication with parents/guardians as required.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
• Qualified IB Biology educator (IB DP Biology teaching certificate preferred) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Demonstrated mastery of the IB Biology curriculum, assessment criteria, and pedagogical standards.
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Desired Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IB Biology at the Diploma Programme level.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and the ability to design virtual or in‑person lab activities.
• Track record of helping students achieve high scores in IB examinations.
• Experience mentoring students for science Olympiads (e.g., AMC, CEMC) is advantageous.
