Role Description:
The Hydraulic Specialist – Mining is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic systems on heavy mobile mining equipment, ensuring reliable performance in demanding operational environments. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting hydraulic components, troubleshooting faults, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime. The specialist will assist in system upgrades, support integration with fleet management and telemetry solutions, and maintain accurate service records and technical documentation. The role also includes collaborating with engineering teams on continuous improvement, adhering to safety and quality standards, and providing technical guidance to site personnel.
Qualifications:
Design and build hydraulic conversion kits that interface with existing mechanical controls on machines such as dozers, graders, loaders, and underground boggers/drills.
Fit additional hydraulic valve banks onto machines and wire them, including electrical looms, to runremote controls alongside the existing manual controls.
Build the switching logic/hardware so operators can toggle a machine between manual control and remote control.
Select, install, and commission Remote Control Technology (RCT) systems on mobile mining and earthmoving equipment, with automation as an added capability where required.
Work with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to convert manual machines into remote-operated or automated units.
Test and validate hydraulic, electrical, and remote-control installations for safety and reliability before machines are returned to site.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and remote-control systems on machines in the field, including underground mining equipment.
Maintain documentation for each conversion/build, including hydraulic circuit diagrams, wiring Diagrams, and control schematics.
Support project rollouts across India, UAE, and Australia sites as required.
Required Experience & Skills:
5-8 years of experience in mobile equipment hydraulics, with a minimum of 2-3 years specifically in RCT/remote control fitment.
Background with an OEM or hydraulic equipment company (e.g. Epiroc, Tamrock, Sandvik, or similar) is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience fitting Remote Control Technology (RCT) to underground mining equipment such as boggers and drill rigs.
Proven experience building hydraulic valve banks/kits to convert manual machine controls to remote/automated operation.
Strong working knowledge of mobile equipment hydraulics - dozers, graders, loaders, and similar earthmoving/mining machines.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring and looms as used in remote control/automation retrofits.
Experience with underground mining equipment and automation is a strong advantage.
Ability to read and work from hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Practical fault-finding and field commissioning skills.
Willingness to travel to mine sites, including underground environments, as needed.
