Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program management of advanced and vehicle development projects involving HEV, PHEV/REEV powertrains, covering calibration, evaluation, pre-homologation activities, and on-road real-world fleet validation of control systems.
  • Definition and management of program scope for HEV, PHEV/REEV powertrain development, including objectives, deliverables, expected benefits, timelines, and project boundaries.
  • Development and optimization of vehicle-level control strategies for HEV, PHEV/REEV systems, encompassing engine controls, HCU controls, motor integration, and battery management to enhance overall performance, efficiency, and driveability.
  • Coordination and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, EMS/HCU partners, and technology suppliers monitoring project execution, tracking key milestones, and providing progress updates to management.
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of future powertrain technology trends, regulatory developments, industry standards, and government policies to support strategic product planning and development.

COMPETENCY REQUIRMENTS TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL

  • Relevant work experience in Calibration for Drivability, OBD, Open calibration and Emission calibration of Powertrain system. (Gasoline ICE & Hybrid PT)
  • Relevant work experience in preparation of functions and Control algorithms such as State transition Diagram & Conditions, Torque control (Protection & restriction), Thermal behavior estimations & management, Vehicle Controls, functional safety, and cyber security.
  • Relevant work experience in ECU/HCU software control system / Functional safety / Cybersecurity/Battery Management system
  • Proficiency in know-how of IC Engine, Electrical drives & Automotive regulations related to powertrains, i.e. AIS, GTR.
  • Proficiency in know-how of EMS sub-systems, HCU sub system (including logics, function frame), CAN architecture & debugging.
  • Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Valid Driving License and satisfactory driving record.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Automobile / Production / Electrical
  • Minimum 60% marks.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
