HW Developer for Electronic Control Units
Role Summary
Responsible for the end-to-end design and development of electronics hardware, including DC/DC converters, covering analog/digital circuitry, simulations, PCB design support, testing, and compliance with automotive standards. Flexibility to work on variety of topics arising from acquisition to series maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics, including DC/DC converters and sensor/actuator interfaces.
Experience in embedded hardware design for automotive ECUs, including MCU interfacing and HW–SW integration.
Ability to analyze requirements and propose hardware solutions using calculations, simulations, and worstcase analysis.
Proficiency in electronic component selection and schematic development for automotivegrade products.
Working knowledge of PCB layout principles and effective collaboration with layout engineers on EMC and manufacturability.
Handson experience in hardware testing and validation, including test plan definition, boardlevel measurements, and test reporting.
Exposure to automotive specifications and standards relevant to ECU development and validation.
Strong skills in structured problem solving, HW debugging, and failure/rootcause analysis.
Understanding product development and production processes, including interaction with sample shops and manufacturing plants.
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, handling OEM queries and coordinating with internal teams (SW, Sales, Validation).
