Skills

Job-Specific Skills:

Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and to prescribe and perform repair procedures.

Ability to perform repairs and maintenance of equipment with

assorted hand and power tools.

Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

A basic understanding of blueprints.

Knowledge of electricity sufficient to trouble shoot and repair complex electrical control systems

Working knowledge of the design and operations of compressors.

Working knowledge of pneumatic control system.

Working knowledge of the practice, methods, materials, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Working knowledge of refrigeration.

Generic Skills

Ability to follow instructions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Day-to-day Operations

Follow the daily welding chart specifications for metal sheets laid out by the supervisor in order to ensure the welding work complies with the specifications provided and the activities are completed as per timelines, quality, health and safety standards of the division.

Repair

Perform minor and major repairs by following repair procedures and identifying cause of the problem in order to determine materials, tools and method of repair needed.

Maintenance

Check regularly and make necessary action on air-conditioning system, refrigeration units, chilled water distribution, equipment, control system, compressor, and air handling in order to avoid major repair or problems

Installation

Install air-conditioning units, wire controls, duct works and chilled water piping to achieve work order as per required timetable.

Follow all relevant section's or department's policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
