Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent service while ensuring system efficiency and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Install, test, and commission HVAC equipment including air conditioners, chillers, heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance reports.
  • Respond to emergency service requests and equipment breakdowns.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and repair costs.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory responsibly.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and optimize HVAC system performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment.
  • Valid driver's license (if field service role).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency call-outs when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC/R certification or relevant trade license.
  • Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of local safety and environmental regulations.
