Job Opening
We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Service Technician with 2–5 years of experience to join our growing team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems at client sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential HVAC projects while ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation, servicing, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems including split ACs, VRF/VRV systems, package units, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
- Perform routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of HVAC equipment to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults and carry out effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Inspect refrigerant levels, compressors, motors, thermostats, control panels, piping, and ducting systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and service reports.
- Attend service calls and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns at customer locations.
- Ensure proper testing of HVAC systems after repair or installation and maintain performance records.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth completion of maintenance and service activities.
- Maintain daily service reports, maintenance logs, and records of spare parts used.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and statutory requirements while working on-site.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and recommend suitable solutions to clients.
- Support senior engineers during annual maintenance contracts (AMC), retrofitting, and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent HVAC&R certification.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Should idealy own a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving license for travelling to client sites across Pune and nearby areas.
- Good knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, compressors, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.
- Experience working on split ACs, cassette ACs, ductable units, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, and refrigeration equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical panels, control wiring, thermostats, sensors, and HVAC automation basics.
- Ability to use service tools such as manifold gauges, multimeter, vacuum pump, clamp meter, leak detector, and refrigerant charging equipment.
- Basic understanding of HVAC drawings, equipment manuals, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Familiar with safety standards and best practices related to HVAC service and refrigerant handling.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work in field conditions when required.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and service documentation is preferred.
