HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to handle HVAC design and engineering activities for commercial, industrial, MEP and building projects. The candidate should have strong experience in HVAC system design, calculations, equipment selection and preparation of engineering drawings and documentation.

• Perform HVAC load calculations and prepare HVAC system designs.

• Design and select HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps and ventilation systems.

• Prepare and review HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts and schematics.

• Prepare equipment schedules, BOQs, material specifications and technical documentation.

• Perform duct sizing, pipe sizing, pressure-drop calculations and ventilation calculations.

• Coordinate HVAC designs with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and architectural teams.

• Review drawings, specifications and technical requirements to ensure compliance.

• Prepare HVAC design calculations, technical submittals and engineering deliverables.

• Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues during project execution.

• Coordinate with site and project teams for smooth implementation of HVAC designs.

• Ensure designs comply with applicable HVAC standards, project specifications and safety requirements.

• Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities when required.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and engineering.

• Hands-on experience in HVAC load calculations and equipment selection.

• Good knowledge of ducting, chilled water piping and ventilation systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.

• Working knowledge of HAP / Carrier HAP or equivalent HVAC design software.

• Knowledge of ASHRAE, ISHRAE and relevant HVAC standards.

• Good understanding of MEP coordination and engineering drawings.

• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
