Job Description

Job Title: Head – HR Operations / Payroll Services

Department: Payroll Consulting

Experience: 7–10 years

Role Summary

The Operations Head will lead the HR operations function, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and client delivery across large-scale payroll and workforce management services. This role is responsible for business growth, client retention, and process transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end HR operations & payroll delivery across multiple clients
  2. Oversee large workforce operations (10,000+ employees)
  3. Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and account growth
  4. Manage P&L, invoicing, and revenue collections
  5. Define and implement operational strategy, KPIs, and governance models
  6. Establish strong SLA, quality, and compliance frameworks
  7. Drive digital transformation, automation, and process optimization
  8. Lead client reviews, business discussions, and escalations
  9. Collaborate with leadership on business expansion and new offerings

Leadership Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage multiple teams (Managers + Executives)
  2. Build high-performance teams and succession planning
  3. Drive a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

Key Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking & leadership ability
  • Expertise in payroll consulting, HR operations, and compliance
  • Excellent client relationship management
  • Proven experience in handling large-scale operations & teams
  • Strong financial acumen (billing, revenue, cost control)
