Role Purpose
To lead and transform HR Operations across Vikram Solar, ensuring robust governance, seamless employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, and scalable HR systems. The role will be critical in enabling operational excellence across manufacturing plants, project sites, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations Transformation
- Build a future-ready HR Operations framework aligned to business growth and manufacturing scale-up
- Standardize and streamline processes across plants, sites, and corporate
- Drive continuous improvement and automation across HR processes
2. Employee Lifecycle Management (High Volume + Multi-location)
- Oversee onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and separations across corporate, plant, and project workforce
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and governance in employee documentation and records
- Manage high-volume workforce transactions including contract and blue-collar workforce
3. Payroll & Compliance (Critical Focus Area)
- Lead end-to-end payroll for multi-location workforce (including contract labour)
- Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Factory Act)
- Drive audit readiness and manage statutory inspections across locations
4. Plant HR Operations & IR Alignment
- Work closely with Plant HR teams to ensure compliance and discipline in HR processes
- Strengthen governance on attendance, shift management, contractor compliance, and labour practices
- Support IR-sensitive environments with strong process discipline
5. HRMS & Digitization
- Own and drive HRMS (Oracle / SAP or equivalent) adoption and optimization
- Enable employee self-service and digitized workflows
- Ensure data integrity, real-time dashboards, and system-driven governance
6. Shared Services & Service Delivery
- Build / strengthen HR Shared Services model
- Define SLAs, TATs, and service delivery benchmarks
- Improve employee experience through efficient query resolution
7. Analytics & Reporting
- Drive HR analytics covering headcount, attrition, cost, compliance, and productivity
- Publish leadership dashboards and actionable insights
- Support decision-making through data-backed reporting
8. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage vendors across payroll, background verification, insurance, and contract workforce
- Partner with Finance, Legal, SCM, and Business Heads
- Ensure alignment of HR operations with business needs
9. Team Leadership
- Lead a distributed HR Operations team across locations
- Build capability in plant HR, payroll, and compliance teams
- Drive accountability, responsiveness, and execution rigor
