Job Description

Looking for hospitality background (hotel) applicants, experience in HR domain preferably females with excellent communication skills.

Main Duties

Administration

  • Provides smooth and efficient administrative support in the Human Resources Department by assisting the Human Resources Manager in the planning, coordination and implementation of all office administration of the Human Resources Office.
  • Responsible for the security and upkeep of personnel files and ensures that all personnel records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinates and administers all paper flow within the Department.

Customer Service

  • Handles all internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily
  • Maintains positive colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other associates (internal customers) and other visitors to the division.

Financial

  • Be conversant with productivity ratios (and other key performance indicators) and to produce the monthly turnover report, associate sick leave report, vacation reports etc.
  • Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

Marketing

  • Assists the human resources manager with the compilation and implementation of all associate communications.
  • Ensures that all in-house rules, regulations and personnel announcements are communicated to associates via notice board/e-board and/or e-mail channels.
  • Assists to prepare and monitor the human resources activity calendar.

Operational

  • Assists in making sure that associate facilities are maintained to Hyatt International's high standards of operation.
  • Assists with the development, implementation and administration of associate relations, benefit and compensation, and recruitment programs.
  • Responsible to update all open vacancies on Taleo and other portals like Naukri.com.
  • Maintains all applications, screen and interview applicants suitable for positions and carries out recruitment activities to close the positions with suitable candidates.
  • Contacts applicants for screening interviews and interviews candidates when necessary and refers suitable candidates to Department Heads.
  • Maintains a positive relation with various campuses and drives the placement program for job openings as well as internships.
  • Ensures that all applications are reviewed and that acknowledgment/reject letters are sent out 2 weeks from date of receipt.
  • Co-ordinates all visas and immigration activities when necessary and monitor the passports and immigration papers of foreign national associates.
  • Prepares letters of offer to new hires and conducts other necessary joining formalities.
  • Ensures the associate database is maintained and updated as required.
  • Ensures timely closing of attendance and payroll as per the process guidelines defined and submission of necessary month-end reports.
  • Checks and documents applicant references.
  • Assists with the coordination of the associate recognition programs
  • Conducts and organizes various engagement activities for associates.
  • Allocates a team to each associate/trainee of the hotel and leads various houses/teams with the necessary support of captains/vice-captains

Personnel

  • Assists to ensure that all associates are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures.
  • Ensures a strong professional relationship with all levels of associates within the hotel.
  • Ensures that all associates have a complete understanding of and adhere to associate rules and regulations.
  • Conducts new associate orientation when necessary.
  • Supports the implementation of The People Philosophy in every department in the hotel.
  • Conducts Exit Interviews for all resigned associates if necessary and provide feedback to the Human Resources Manager.

Other Duties

  • Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in associate and industrial relations.
  • Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Associate Handbook and the Hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene and health and safety.
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Responds to changes in the Human Resources function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
  • Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
  • Works closely with the human resources manager to maintain and upgrade the Hyatt Place work culture and promotes the leads the culture of multi-tasking by practice.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
