Job Description

Job Title: Asst. Manager/Manager HR Operations

Location: Hyderabad (On-site)

Reporting To: Head Human Resources

Experience: Minimum 10 years in HR Operations

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned HR Operations professional to lead and manage end-to-end HR operational processes. The role will work closely with the HR Head to ensure seamless execution of HR policies, compliance, employee lifecycle management, and process excellence across the organization. This is a critical role responsible for operational rigor, governance, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Oversee complete employee lifecycle management: onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, exits, and final settlements.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, HRMS data, and documentation.
  • Drive smooth coordination with recruitment, payroll, finance, and IT teams.

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance

  • Manage monthly payroll operations in coordination with payroll vendors and internal finance teams.
  • Ensure statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act, CLRA, and other applicable labor laws.
  • Handle audits (internal, statutory, and external) and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Oversee benefits administration including insurance, leaves, bonuses, and other employee welfare programs.

HR Policies & Process Excellence

  • Implement and monitor HR policies, SOPs, and process frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement through automation and standardization.
  • Ensure consistent policy interpretation and implementation across departments.

Employee Relations & Grievance Management

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries related to HR operations, policies, and compliance.
  • Manage employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and conduct investigations where required.
  • Support the HR Head in handling sensitive employee relations matters.

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Own HRMS operations, data integrity, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare and present HR dashboards, MIS reports, and operational metrics to leadership.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through accurate reporting and insights.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Partner with business leaders to support operational HR needs.
  • Lead and mentor the HR Operations team, ensuring capability building and performance management.
  • Work closely with vendors, consultants, and government authorities as required.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, and Employee Lifecycle Management
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory requirements
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS and payroll systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proven experience managing teams and working with senior leadership

Educational Qualification

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant certifications in labor laws or HR operations are a plus

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in mid-to-large organizations or shared services environments
  • Exposure to audits, automation initiatives, and process transformation
  • Prior experience supporting multi-location workforces
