Job Description

Uttaranchal Dental & Medical Research Institute is a reputed dental college and healthcare institution located between Dehradun and Rishikesh. We are looking for a capable and hands-on HR Manager to build and manage the HR function for the institute.

This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage hiring, employee coordination, HR operations, attendance, payroll inputs, compliance, and day-to-day staff issues in an educational or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching, non-teaching, administrative, clinical, hospital, and support staff roles.
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and close open positions on time.
  • Source candidates through job portals, references, consultants, local networks, and direct outreach.
  • Handle joining formalities, appointment letters, employee documentation, ID cards, and personnel files.
  • Maintain employee records, attendance, leave records, and HR databases.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, deductions, new joiners, exits, and increments.
  • Support compliance related to HR policies, statutory documentation, and institutional requirements.
  • Manage employee grievances, discipline issues, warning letters, notices, and exit formalities.
  • Ensure smooth communication between management, faculty, administrative staff, hospital staff, and support teams.
  • Help implement HR policies, reporting systems, appraisal processes, and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare regular HR reports on hiring status, attendance, attrition, manpower gaps, and staff performance concerns.
  • Coordinate with external recruiters, consultants, and vendors wherever required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HR, preferably in a college, hospital, healthcare, or institutional setup.
  • Strong experience in recruitment and HR operations.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the complete HR function.
  • Good understanding of attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and employee documentation.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working in an on-site, hands-on environment.
  • Ability to manage teaching, non-teaching, administrative, and support staff requirements.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and institutional HR processes will be preferred.
  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification preferred.
