The Plant Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for supporting plant personnel in the areas of safety, employee relations, administration, recruitment / selection, training, performance evaluation / personal development, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits. The position is responsible for the continuous improvement / refinement of all associated programming in accordance with the group Human Resources policies and local and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Establish policies and procedures of the organization in the work environment ensuring all factors of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery are maintained to the
- Direct the implementation of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Monitors workers compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier in collaboration with Health, Safety, Environmental Professional (HSE).
- Facilitate and lead the communication process among all levels of the organization.
- Responsible for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Assess job descriptions and benchmark pay of positions; review classification of positions and rewrite as needed.
- Manage conflict resolution, team building and employee skill evaluations.
- Provide Leadership and Direction for Plant ERG's and D&I improvements in collaboration with Plant Manager and in alignment with IBF targets.
- Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaint.
- Assess staff and Management training requirements and create programs to meet career development needs.
- Prepare and manage the labor budget including analyzing results and developing recommendations for improvement of Contract labor management.
- Monitors performance management and develop training plans.
- Responsible for the company that provides security to the plant.
- Adhere statutory compliance of factory under various labour laws.
- Liaison with local governing bodies.
- Organizing and monitoring of Employee engagement activities.
- To monitor and take disciplinary action in case of any misconduct.
- Monitoring of company employees attendance and payroll.
- Oversee Contractual labour Payment.
- Audit related preparation and execution.
- Plant administration like canteen, housekeeping, hygiene, colony management, Gents locker room & apron etc.
People Management
- Identify own goals and individual KPI's and develop team and their individual capability.
- Demonstrate open, positive and constructive communication and enact IBF Code of Conduct behaviors by providing support to all personnel in activities.
- This is to improve teamwork, motivation, leadership, and job specific knowledge on a routine basis as well as monthly and annual review.
Financial Management
- Develop and apply strong financial management approach to annual HR/Admin department budget ensuring compliance with all financial management policies, audit requirements and reporting.
- Set with Plant Manager, and meet all department savings.
- Provide written explanations as required, at month end and at the end of the financial year including any deviation.
Management Reporting
- Provide timely and accurate reports and briefing notes to Plant Manager and management team in accordance with required timetables and on a need's basis to appropriate persons.
Qualifications
- Must have: Master's degree in industrial relations, Human Resources or related field with min. 15 years experience in manufacturing industries. Preferred from frozen industries.
